A Global Data Store is a specialized repository within elluminate that consolidates and manages data across multiple studies or programs. Similar to a study's data store, you can configure the Importer, Exporter, and Tasks, and also use the Mapper to work with data in a Global Data Store. The user defines which studies can access the global data store resources by associating them with a specific compound, therapeutic area, or program.

Use the steps below to create a new Global Data Store.

1. Click the 9-dot icon to open the Platform Menu.
   
2. Click Global Data Stores. The Global Data Stores landing page displays.
   
3. Click the plus sign at the top right to open the New Global Data Store window. Required fields are identified with a red asterisk (*).
4. In the Name field, enter a name for the Global Data Store.
5. In the Description field, enter a description for the Global Data Store.
6. To associate the global data store with a Compound, Therapeutic Area, and Program, click the drop-down arrow for the appropriate field and make your selection.
7. If this data store will be used in Analytics, check the Enable Analytics checkbox.
8. Click OK.
