Manage Security and Password Settings in Administration

An Administrator can manage the security and password settings for all the users in the elluminate account, meaning, these are global settings for the entire elluminate environment.

Manage Settings

  1. Click the 9-dot icon to open the Platform Menu.
  2. From the Platform Menu, select User Management under Platform Administration.
  3. Click the Settings tab in the master header. The Settings window displays.

  4. Make necessary adjustments to the settings.
  5. Click Save when the settings are appropriately selected.

Settings Details

SettingRule
Password Strength RulesPasswords must be between 4 and 20 characters long.

If complex passwords are required, click in the Require Complex Password box.

Default Setting: Password length is 8 characters and Require Complex Password is not checked.
Password Expiration RulesPasswords can be configured to expire between 7 and 365 days. Password reuse can be restricted for a period between 7 and 730 days.

Default Setting: Password expiration is set to 90 days, and passwords can be reused after 180 days.
Sign In RulesThe maximum number of failed sign-in attempts can be configured between 2 and 9. When the limit is reached, the account becomes locked. The account can be unlocked automatically after a configured period between 15 and 350 minutes or manually by an administrator.

Default Setting: 3 failed sign in attempts, and the Unlock Account is not checked.
Multi-factor Authentication Rules

Multi-Factor Authentication can be enabled with a required frequency of Every Time, Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, or Monthly.

Important: This setting applies only to users logging directly into elluminate and does not apply to SSO authentication.

Notification Emailselluminate can be set up to allow non-elluminate email accounts to receive email notifications. The email notifications that are impacted by this setting include all scheduled tasks.

Default Setting: Non-elluminate users are not allowed to receive emails from elluminate.
Export File NamingTimezone for Export File Names: Use the drop-down arrow to select the appropriate timezone. The selected timezone is used for all data exported from elluminate.

Default Setting: (UTC+05:30) Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi.
