Permissions: Users must have the Administer or Manage Users privilege to manage Data Store access.
By default, when a user or group is granted the View privilege for a study, access is provided to all Data Stores, including Staging Areas and Data Marts, for that study. Access to individual Data Stores can be restricted to provide more granular control over available data using the Deny Data Stores feature in User Management.
Data Store access can be managed at either the user or group level. The steps below describe group-level management; the same process applies at the user level.
- Click the 9-dot icon to open the Platform Menu.
- From the Platform Menu, select User Management under Platform Administration.
- Click the Groups tab in the master header. The list displays existing groups, assigned privileges, and users.
- Click a group row to manage Data Store access. The selected row highlights in blue.
- Click the Deny Data Stores icon for the selected group.
The Deny Data Stores table opens. Select the checkbox for any Data Store the group should not access. By default, access to all Data Stores is enabled.
Note: To deny access to a Data Store across all studies, select the checkbox in the All Studies row.
- Click Save to apply the changes.
