Manage a Record in eForms

eForms allow users to:

  • Enter a Record into a Form
  • Edit a Record in a Form
  • Delete a Record

Important: eForms are only for collection of operational data and should never be used for collection of clinical / source data.

Access eForms

eForms are study specific. They can be accessed from the Platform Menu by selecting eForms under File Management, or from a study by selecting eForms from the Details drop-down in the Master Header. If you select eForms under File Management, the last study accessed displays in the drop-down and you can click the Study drop-down to select a different study. If you select eForms from a study, that study displays.

Add a New Record

  1. Access eForms and confirm the study displaying in the Study drop-down is the desired study. To access eForms for a different study, click the Study drop-down and select a different study. 
    All forms are listed below the Study. Select the form - previously entered data for this form displays in the main window to the right. In the example below, there is only one form, Trip Report Form.
  2. To add a new record into the selected form, click the New button at the top right.

  3. Enter your data.

  4. Click Save. The record is displays in the log list. 

Edit an eForm Record

Any record that has been entered into an eForm can be edited. This might be necessary if data have changed, or if you want to add more information.

  1. In eForms, select the desired study and form in the left side menu.

  2. Select the record you want to edit. The row is highlighted in blue.
  3. Click Edit from the top right. The entry form opens with the data populated. Make any edits, as appropriate.
  4. Click Save. The record is updated.  

Delete an eForm Record

Any record that has been entered into an eForm can be deleted.

  1. In eForms, select the desired study and form in the left side menu.
  2. Select the record you want to delete. The row is highlighted in blue.
  3. Click Delete from the top right of the eForms window. A confirmation window opens.
  4. Click Yes to confirm the deletion of that record. Click No to cancel.
