Permissions: Users with the RACT Assessment Read Write or RACT Configure privilege can create and configure a study assessment.
Users with the RACT Assessment Read Only privilege can view RACT data to participate in study risk assessment activities.

A Study Assessment can be created for RACT enabled studies. Typically, it is created once the draft protocol is available. Within study assessment configuration the frequency of assessments is defined, and the categories and questions are selected. 

Important: A study must have an approved assessment to conduct an assessment.

Access Study Assessment Configuration

Configuration is available from a study's landing page. View a list of existing Assessment Configuration Versions. Columns can be sorted, fixed, and filtered. The number in the blue badge indicates the number of rows in the filtered list. Use the icons at the top right to add, edit, approve, and create a new version of a study assessment, and identify if filters are applied to any columns. A study assessment that has not been used or is in development can be deleted. 

Create and Configure a Study Assessment

As new assessments are added and new versions created, they are listed in Configuration, Assessment Configuration Versions.

1. Select a study from the RACT Landing Page with a status of Not Started.
2. Click on Configuration in the left navigation.
   
3. Click + Add Configuration. The Configuration window opens. This window provides the details at the top. 
   

   Note: Once an assessment version has been created, the +Add Configuration button is no longer available. Existing versions can be edited and new versions created.

   
   
4. Optionally, copy the configuration of an approved Assessment. Click the Copy From Another Study drop-down and select the study to be copied. Only studies with a status of Approved are listed in the drop-down. 
5. Update the Assessment Interval (Weeks) by entering over the number displaying or drag the slider to the number of weeks (between 1 - 99). The default is 8.
6. Optionally, enter Comments.
7. Click Create. A confirmation dialogue box briefly displays.
   The Configuration window expands to include Categories and Questions.
   
   

   Tip: If the configuration was copied from another study, those questions will be checked and can be modified.

   Tip: To see all items use the scroll bars.

   
   Questions - By default all Categories and Questions that are not excluded based on the study properties are checked.
   

   Note: Users with the RACT Configure privilege will have the Add Questions icon. Clicking the icon opens the Questions Library within Configuration.

8. By default, all questions are selected, or if you copied the configuration of another study those questions are selected. Uncheck Categories or Questions that should not be included in the assessment. Unchecking a category removes all the questions in that category. Confirm all the questions you want included are checked.  
9. Click Save. A confirmation dialogue box briefly displays. The Status of the assessment moves from Not Started to In Development.

Edit a Study Assessment

After an Assessment has been created and configured for a study, the status updates to In Development and it is listed in Assessment Configuration Versions. Using the Edit icon opens the Configuration window where changes can be made. 

Note: Once an Assessment has been created, the Configuration window does not include the option to copy the configuration from another study.

Note: Changes cannot be made to an approved version of an Assessment. A new version must be created.

1. Click on Configuration, highlight the row of the latest Assessment Configuration Version.
2. Click the Edit icon. The Configuration window opens.
3. If the current version is in the Approved status, click the Create New Version button at the top right of the window.
   
4. If a new version was created, the window updates to the next version number and includes all the selections from the previous version. 
5. Make changes.
6. Click Done. A confirmation dialogue box briefly displays.

Approve a Study Assessment Version

When an Assessment is created for a study, or a new version is created, the status is In Development. Once you are done configuring the assessment it can be approved. 

1. Click on Configuration.
2. Highlight the row of the Assessment Configuration Version that is In Development.
3. Click the Approve icon, or right-click on the row and select Approve.

Note: The approved version will be used for the next Assessment.

Important: You cannot update the Status of an Approved version. If changes need to be made you must create and approve a new version.

Delete a Study Assessment Version

Only Assessments that were created (version 1) and never used or in development can be deleted.

1. Click on Configuration.
2. Highlight the row of the Assessment Configuration Version you wish to delete.
3. Click the Delete icon. A brief confirmation message displays.
