Note: The sheet and UI shown in the video have changed since the video was created. The sheet and UI may differ by elluminate version, but the Smart Search and Selections Tool functionality is the same.

Instructions

1. From any Analytics app, open a sheet of interest. This example uses the CDA app and the AE Summary sheet.
2. Select a study from the Study filter, then click the Confirm selection icon.

Option 1: Smart Search

3. Click the Smart Search icon. The Search dialog opens.
4. Enter the value to filter by. This example uses Albuterol.
5. Continue entering text until the target entry displays, then select it. This example uses CM.Reported Name of Drug, Med, or Therapy ALBUTEROL.
6. The filter is applied and displays in the Selections bar.

Option 2: Selections Tool

3. Click the Selections button. The Selections window opens.

   Note: The top section of the Selections window displays applied filters. The bottom section displays domains and variables available for filtering.

4. In the Search dimensions field, enter a domain to filter by. This example uses Report.
5. From the target domain, click the Search icon, then enter the specific term. This example searches for albuterol in CM.Reported Name of Drug, Med, or Therapy.
6. Select one or more entries, and click the Confirm selection icon. This example uses ALBUTEROL.
7. After applying all filters, click the Selections button to close the Selections window.
8. The filters are applied and display in the Selections bar.

Apply additional filters to an Analytics sheet by using Smart Search or the Selections tool.
