This article is currently being updated. Please come back later for updates.

Important: Before utilizing this feature, the Issue Notification Task should be created by the user with the necessary privileges. If the task is not setup, issue notifications will never be sent.

Note: This tutorial applies to anywhere issues are created across the Platform, not just Data Central.

Instructions

  1. Begin in the Platform wherever you would like to create an issue, in this example we will use Data Central, but the steps will be the same anywhere issues can be created.
  2. Open the listing you are preforming the review on, in this example we will open the Clinical AE Domain listing.
  3. Click the create plus icon and select your issue type, in this example we will create a domain issue.

Tip: To create an issue on a record, first select that record and then choose create issue from the create issue drop-down.

  4. When the Create Issue window opens, choose your options:
    1. Set the Priority.
    2. Assign to a user, role, or user group.
    3. Input a Due by date and time.
    4. Enter Issue text.
    5. Select the Send Notification to the User/Role/User Group checkbox.
    6. Select the Send in batch option to add the issue to the notification queue. The issue notifications will be sent on the schedule configured in the Issue Notification Task created at configuration by the user with the necessary privileges.

Note: Send immediately will send out the issue notification upon saving the issue.
