Manage Jobs and Execution History in the SCE

Use the Jobs tab to review and monitor execution of any programs in the system. Users can see the status of currently running programs and the history of program executions.

By default, users see the list of Running Jobs. To see the Run History, click Run History in the left navigation.

In the listings, columns can be sorted, filtered, and fixed to the right or left.

  • Refresh: Click to refresh the list.
  • Schedule Job: Click to access Tasks. For details on how to schedule Run SCE Program, see the Help article Schedule Different Action Automations from Tasks in the Tasks section.
  • Kill Job: Click on the row of the job to be killed and click the Kill Job icon (Running Jobs only)
  • Previous / Next Page: Use the arrow to navigate through pages.
  • Filters: The Filters icon indicates if a filter is applied. A grayed-out filter indicates there are no filters set; a highlighted filter indicates there is at least one filter applied. Click Clear Filters to clear all applied filters, or click the individual filter icon to remove individually.

Running Jobs

A list of running jobs displays.

The colored badges indicate:

  • Yellow Queued: the total number of jobs in queue
  • Green Running: the total number of jobs running
  • Gray My Jobs / All Jobs: toggle between My Jobs and All Jobs

Columns can be sorted, filtered, and fixed to the right or left. Columns in the listing include:

  • Run ID: The system generated number id
  • Name: Click the hyperlinked name to open the program in the Editor
  • Run Status: This will display Queued or Running
  • Study: The study associated with the running job
  • Version: The version of the program that was executed
  • Status: The status of the program
  • Language: The language and version of the program, e.g., SAS 9.4
  • Initiated By: User who initiated the job
  • Initiated Time: The time the job was initiated
  • Time Elapsed: Current time elapsed since time initiated
  • Progress: Current progress of job

Run History

Click Run History in the left navigation to view a list of jobs previously run. All completed and aborted jobs are listed.

The colored badges indicate:

  • Blue: the number of rows listed. The number will update based on filters applied.
  • Gray Show My Jobs / Show All Jobs: toggle between My Jobs and All Jobs
  • Gray Show Runs From: Click to select from Past Day, Past Week, Past 30 Days, or All Time

Columns can be sorted, filtered, and fixed to the right or left. Columns include:

  • Run ID
  • Name: Click the hyperlinked name to access the program in the Editor
  • Run Status: This will display Completed or Aborted
  • Error Log: Displays error message

    Tip: Hover over the error log message to view the full error message in a popup.

  • Study: The study associated with the job
  • Version: The version of the program that was run
  • Status: The status of the program
  • Language: The language of the program, e.g., SAS 9.4
  • Initiated By: User who initiated the job
  • Initiated Time: The time the job was initiated
  • Completed Time: Current time elapsed since time initiated
  • Run Time: The time it took to run the job
  • Execution Log: Hyperlink to log file
