After successfully logging in to elluminate, the Studies Home Page displays; this is the default window in the application.
Note: User privileges determine which modules, studies, and actions are available in elluminate.
Navigate the Platform
Master Header
The master header is in blue at the top of the screen. It is consistent across the entire platform and options adjust based on where you are in the system. Upon initial login, the Studies Home Page displays. Using the 9-dot icon at the top left provides the drop-down Platform Menu.
From the Studies Home Page, you can access a study or perform actions using the options in the master header. You may also click on the 9-dot icon to access the Platform Menu and navigate to where in the system you wish to work.

Open the Platform Menu: Click the 9-dot icon to open the Platform Menu. The drop-down menu opens.
Note: You will only see and have access to categories, modules, and functionality based on your defined system privileges.
Across the top, all users can access their Profile, Studies, Global Data Stores, and Sign off.
Expand the left navigation: Below that on the left, you will see Recent History, and categories with up arrows. Click an up arrow at the right of a category to expand it.
Some items listed have a right-facing arrow at the right, indicating additional selections are listed in the right navigation. For example, under the Recent History category Recent Studies and History are listed, and all places you accessed are listed in the right navigation. Click on a listed item in the right navigation and you are directed to that place in the system.
Some items do not have the right-facing arrow; when you click on one of those, you are brought directly to that module. For example, clicking on Data Central Studies directs you to the Data Central Landing Page, or clicking on Issues directs you to the global Issues module.
Use the scrollbar to access all items listed.
The Platform Menu closes when you click to access a place in the system.
The eClinical Solutions logomark
Click on the eClinical Solutions logomark next to the 9-dot icon to return to the Studies Home Page, or your configured Home Page.

Click the Question Mark icon to access the Help Center, Community, Learning Portal, Support information, Privacy Policy, Legal Notices, and About current version.
Studies Home Page
The Studies Home Page has a badge showing how many studies you have access to, a search function, the ability to save studies as favorites, a number of tiles shown drop-down, the option to choose between tile view or list view, and the ability to add a new study (new from template or templates), depending on your privileges.
Adjust Studies View
By default, six studies are displayed in a tile view with study details included in the tile; if you have permissions there may be Edit and Delete icons.
If you have access to more studies than displayed on your screen, a page navigation is shown at the bottom of the page. Use the page numbers, first / last, previous / next at the bottom of the tiles to page through the studies.
Use the display buttons at the top right to adjust the view from tile to list, or to add a new study, if you have that privilege.
Search and Filter Studies
Use the filter and search fields at the top of the window to find your study more easily. The drop-down provides the fields you can filter within, and the search field is where you can enter the text. Click the magnifying glass to activate the search.
Favorite a Study
To save a study as a favorite for easy access, click the Toggle Favorite star icon located within the study tile. Then click the Show Favorites icon located to the right of the search feature to limit your view to just your favorite studies. Once a favorite is toggled, it becomes a solid star icon, to remove it from favorites click it again to make it an outlined star icon.
Select a Study
Click on a hyperlinked study name.
Once a study is selected, a general overview of the study with its status and details displays in the top portion of the window, and a list of past imports in the bottom portion of the window.
Perform other actions:
- 9-dot icon: Click the 9-dot icon to access the Platform Menu.
- Logomark: Click the logomark to return to the Studies Home Page.
- Study name: Observe the study name currently being displayed. Click the drop-down to select a different study.
- Details: Click the Details drop-down to access a module specific to the current study in view.
- Imports: A list of past imports displays in the bottom portion of the window.
- Exports: A list of past exports displays in the bottom portion of the window.
Note: The lower section of the window displays a list of past imports and exports. Users with the Importer or Exporter privileges will be able to view and access the files, but a user who does not have the Importer or Exporter privilege will have read-only access.
- Search: Use the search category drop-down to select from. Options vary based on where you are searching from (e.g., Imports or Exports). Enter text into the Search field and click the magnifying glass icon.
- 10 Items: By default, ten items are listed in the lower portion of the window. To change the number of rows displaying, click the drop-down and select from 5, 10, 15, or 20.
- Configure icon: This icon will display if you have the study configuration privilege. Click to open the Edit Study window.
- Question mark icon: Click to open the Help menu.
