Customize Listing Row and Column Display in Data Central

This article is currently being updated. Please come back later for updates.

Important: This tutorial only manages your personal view in Data Central, not the views of other Data Central users.

Note: In 24.2+ the User Domain Settings window was updated, so Hiding Listing Columns looks slightly different than in the video. Instead of at the top as seen in the video, the System Fields display to the left of the Domain Variables. Check boxes in either section to hide them, rather than unchecking as seen in the video.

Instructions

  1. From a Data Central study, add the AE listing to the dashboard.
  2. To select the number of rows that display in a listing, click the Data Central Settings icon from the master header.
  3. Select the number of rows from the Rows Per Page drop-down.
  4. The setting automatically saves and applies to all listings.
  5. To fix columns within a listing, right-click the column header for the column you want to fix to the left or right.
  6. Select To the left or To the right.
  7. To undo the fixed column setting, right-click the column header again and select Unfix.
  8. To hide columns within a listing, click the Configure cog icon within the listing panel toolbar.
  9. Under the User Domain Settings tab, all the available columns are listed.
  10. By default, Review Status, Query Counts, Issue Counts, and Comment Counts are visible, uncheck the box to hide those columns.

Note: In 24.2+ the User Domain Settings window was updated, see note under the video for more details.

  11. In the Hidden Variables section, check the box next to any variable columns you want to hide.
  12. To display a hidden variable, uncheck the box next to the column.
Tip: To filter the list to only display your hidden variables, click the eyeball icon. To return your listings to the default setting for column visibility, click the circle arrow icon.
  13. To turn-off or turn-on the domain listing highlights, click the Highlights tab while in the Domain Settings window.
  14. Click the toggle next to the highlight option you want to turn-off or turn-on, Domain Highlight Conditions are row and cell highlights and Field Emphasis are column header highlights.
