Permissions: User must have the Administer or Blinded Data Configure privilege to complete the actions seen in this video.
Note: Row-level data blinding and the use of wildcards seen in this video is only available in versions 23.2 and later.
Instructions: Configure Data Blinding for a Study
- From the Edit study window, select the Data Blinding tab.
- Any Blindings previously created for this study will be listed here.
- To create a new Blinding, click the plus sign at the top right of the toolbar.
- When the new line is added:
- Select a Data Store.
- Enter the Domain name. For multiple Domains, separate each one with a comma or use the * wildcard (23.2+).
- Enter the Field name. For multiple Fields, separate each one with a comma or use the * wildcard (23.2+).
- Optionally, enter the desired Mask to replace the data, such as Null or N.
- Optionally, click the Row icon in the the Row column to open the SQL statement pop-up to customize row-level blinding conditions.
- To finalize the blinding settings, click Save.
- To delete a blinding and unblind data, click the Delete icon in the corresponding row.
Important: This cannot be undone.
Instructions: Allow a Specific User to View Blinded Data
- To allow a specific user to view blinded data for one or more studies, go to User Management under the Administration category in the Platform Menu.
- Double-click the user to open their Privileges.
- Click the checkbox next to the Blinded Data View privilege.
- Select the studies they have access to view blinded data for.
- Click Save to confirm.
