Overview of Analytics

This article is currently being updated. Please come back later for updates.

elluminate Analytics provides an interactive visualization of study data, allowing authorized users to perform robust in-study and cross trial reporting and analysis.

Analytics Apps

  • Clinical Data Analytics (CDA): Facilitates data exploration across domains and studies, and can be grouped by compound, therapeutic area, or program. These apps are used to identify trends and outliers while providing traditional line listings, descriptive statistics, and visual patient profiles. It pulls data from your Reporting Data Mart, and always includes the most recent data integrated into elluminate.

Note: Studies with the Therapeutic Area designated as Oncology will also include additional oncology sheets.

  • Clinical Trials Operational Analytics (CTOA): Provides an overview of operational data such as Enrollment, Query and Audit metrics, Adverse Event rates, and Protocol Deviations, and can be grouped by compound, therapeutic area, or program.
  • Operational Oversight (OO) (formerly CTMS Insights): Provides a dashboard view of operational data and is designed for most operational data consumers. It offers pre-defined visualizations based on the Operational Data Repository tables. Clients can use these visualizations as-is, or they may use the out-of-the-box visualizations to serve as starting templates for creating customized sheets.
  • Sample Management Analytics (SMA): Provides a foundation to automate and streamline trial sample tracking processes. The app has standard sheets with built-in automation for data reconciliation, sample journey visualizations, and statistical and overview reports for users to efficiently track samples in real-time.
  • Clinical Data Analytics Study Snapshot: Includes the same sheets available in the CDA app, but limited to the Study Snapshots that have been taken for a study - a capture of all data for a study at a certain point in time.

Note: Current data is not included in the snapshot app.

  • Custom Analytics: Displays any custom apps that have been created by building a data model to include the data you want to analyze. There are no standard sheets available, all sheets within a custom app must be created.

If the CDA and CTOA apps are configured to be grouped at the URL level, the name reflects the grouped apps.

Key Features

  • CDA and CTOA apps can be grouped by Compound, Therapeutic Area, or Program at the URL level.
  • Most visualizations are available for use with data from your Reporting Data Mart.
  • A library of sheets in the CDA, CTOA, OO, and SMA apps provides standard visualizations.
  • Create a customized sheet by duplicating an out-of-the box sheet.
  • Filters, or selections, can be used to limit results to just what you are interested in seeing.
  • Selections carry over from one sheet to another, allowing you to filter across the different domains, or visualizations, to display the information you are interested in seeing.
  • Bookmarks can be used to save selections for easy access to the results you are consistently interested in.
  • Ability to add issues on a filtered sheet.
  • Ability to register your review of a sheet.

Note: Be sure your browser is one supported by elluminate Analytics. See details on supported browsers under FAQs.
