Use the Search Tab in Metadata

Access to Metadata is found in the Platform Menu under Metadata Management.

The Search tab in Metadata supports searching across selected studies and global data stores based on specified criteria. By default, the Studies drop-down includes all studies and global data stores with access permissions.

Search Metadata

  1. In Metadata, click the Search tab.
  2. Click in the Studies search field to open the drop-down list of available studies and global data stores.
    1. Use the Search field to narrow the list; as text is entered, the results update.
    2. Select Select All to include all studies and global data stores.
    3. To select specific items, check the box next to each study or global data store name. Use the scrollbar to view all available options.

  3. Select the search criteria:

    CRITERIA DESCRIPTION
    Search ForClick the drop-down arrow and select Domains (default) or Variables.
    WithinSelect Names (default) or Labels. For example, AE is a Name and Adverse Events is a label.
    ConditionSelect the search condition from the drop-down: Starts With (default), Contains, Ends With, or Equals.
    TextEnter the text to search for.
  4. To execute the search, click the Magnifying Glass icon or press Enter in the search box. In the example shown, the search criteria is study AIML_DEMO > Domains > Names > Start With > AE.

Export Search Results

Search results can be exported to Excel using the Export button in the master header. The exported file reflects the same results displayed in elluminate.
