Issue IDRelease NotesComponentVersionDateStatus
EL-35898Resolved an issue in Data Central where Box & Whisker visualizations displayed no data after applying a filter resembling a datetime (e.g., “2.5”), even though matching records exist. The filter logic has been corrected so that values are treated as datetimes only when the underlying field is a datetime data type, ensuring filters return the expected data.Data Central, Visualizations (DC) 24.1.012/20/2025Deployed
EL-34783Resolved an issue where DomainName and DomainLabels fields were incorrectly interchanged during import of Nurocor Non-CRF data standards. This fix ensures the import type is now internally tagged correctly as Nurocor, allowing proper field mapping regardless of CRF data presence for these standards imports.Standards25.1.012/20/2025Deployed
EL-35763Resolved an issue in Data Central Visualizations where a Dynamic Filter displayed all available values as selected, even when only a subset was chosen, whenever another Dynamic Filter on the sheet had Select All enabled. Dynamic Filters now correctly show only the number of values they have selected, regardless of the state of other filters.Data Central24.2.012/13/2025Deployed
EL-35784Resolved an issue where the "Last Refreshed" timestamp in the Study Exports page incorrectly displayed as 01 Jan 0001 for exports that used the "Include All" option. The timestamp now accurately reflects the last refresh date, ensuring greater clarity and reliability when reviewing export history regardless of the selected domain list.Exporter24.1.012/13/2025Deployed
EL-35507When attempting to start a new RACT assessment without any configured Critical to Quality Factors, users will now see a clear message explaining that at least one active CTQ is required. This prevents the system error that previously occurred when starting an assessment without meeting this requirement.RACT25.1.012/13/2025Deployed
EL-35672Fixed an issue where reopening an issue did not generate a corresponding entry in the audit log to indicate the reopening of the issue. The system now consistently logs all reopen actions, ensuring complete traceability and audit compliance.Audit Logs25.1.012/06/2025Deployed
EL-34326Addressed a limitation in Data Central Configuration where Review Objective identifiers were restricted to 8 characters, preventing users from applying their established naming conventions. The system now supports identifiers up to 16 characters when creating or importing Review Objectives. In addition, the Identifier field is now uneditable after a Review Objective is created to maintain audit continuity and better support future enhancements.Data Central25.1.012/06/2025Deployed
EL-35289Resolved an issue where new users with no configured reviewer role in Data Central (when the Reviewer Roles section in Data Central Configuration had not yet been saved to include the new users) had their Opened By Role incorrectly displayed as Data Manager when creating an issue. The system now correctly assigns these users the Read Only role by default, even before their configuration is fully saved, ensuring the Opened By Role value displays accurately.Data Central 24.2.012/06/2025Deployed
EL-35587Resolved an issue where users encountered an error stating “This is not a valid XML document” when submitting a query for records where item values included special characters.Data Central25.1.012/06/2025Deployed

EL-35586Addressed an issue where imports could fail for domains with many fields due to SQL Server row size constraints. The platform now handles such cases by adjusting internal field handling, preventing row-size errors and ensuring successful imports regardless of the source data file size and contents.Importer24.1.012/06/2025Deployed
EL-33040Resolved an issue where issue creators were receiving emails for every issue they created and sent a notification for, resulting in unnecessary inbox clutter. The system has been updated to no longer send any notification emails to the creator when an issue is initially created, across all notification types (immediate, batch, and deferred). Assignees will continue to receive notifications as expected.Issues Module 25.1.012/06/2025Deployed
EL-33617Resolved an issue where updates to Risk Management Configuration were unintentionally applied to in-progress or finalized RACT assessments. Configuration changes are now properly isolated and only apply to assessments created after the configuration update. This ensures the data integrity and consistency of finalized and current assessments.RACT25.1.012/06/2025Deployed
EL-35487Optimized the task cancellation logic for validator runs with large result sets. Previously, attempts to cancel these tasks with a large number of result records would become unresponsive due to inefficient queries tying the results to the cancellation. With this update, the system now cancels such validator runs promptly, preventing downstream task delays and reducing system lockups.Tasks24.1.012/06/2025Deployed

EL-33681Protocol Deviations (PDs) in elluminate were previously permanent in the PD dashboard. Even in scenarios where Programmatic PDs were no longer applicable as the underlying data conditions that created them were corrected or removed would be retained in the dashboard. PDs can now be flagged for auto-removal in the SourcePDs mapping and if set to “True” are now automatically soft-deleted when their source records are no longer present in the SourcePDs mapping on a subsequent refresh. This streamlines PD maintenance by ensuring that outdated deviations—like those no longer generated by underlying logic—are removed without manual intervention. Deleted PDs are excluded from the dashboard and associated metrics but remain auditable in the system with a ‘deleted’ status and traceable log entries.Mapper, Protocol Deviations24.1.010/04/2025Deployed
EL-34391Tasks can now successfully execute SCE programs from multiple studies. Previously, when configuring a task to trigger SCE programs outside the current study, the system incorrectly reassigned all programs to the task’s study, preventing execution. This issue has been resolved by ensuring each program retains its original study assignment during task setup and execution.SCE, Tasks23.3.010/04/2025Deployed
EL-34698Resolved an issue in Data Central where issues assigned to roles in RBQM did not display in the ‘Assigned To’ column of the Issues panel.Data Central24.2.010/04/2025Deployed

EL-32692Users experienced an issue where tasks that were configured to Auto-Cancel after a set timeout period were not cancelling properly and were hanging blocking future executions of the task. The source of this was determined to be an issue in the initial configuration of the auto-cancellation within the task configuration, the setting was not established as expected in the backend causing the cancellation to not trigger and the tasks to hang in whatever partially completed state they were in. This has been corrected to ensure that the cancellation triggers as expected and tasks will be stopped to re-execute at their next schedule occurrence.Tasks24.1.009/14/2025Deployed
EL-22198Resolved an issue where date-only fields in Data Central Listings incorrectly displayed a default time of 12:00:00 AM. The system now accurately reflects imported date values without appending an unnecessary timestamp, ensuring the Listing matches the raw data as expected.Data Central24.1.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-34174Resolved an issue in Data Central where blank values in Yes/No Annotation columns were incorrectly defaulting to “Yes” in Data Listings. The system now properly distinguishes between “Yes,” “No,” and blank values, ensuring accurate display in the UI and consistency with exported data.Data Central24.2.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-33926Users experienced errors running mappings that were manually deriving the query table for use in Data Central and Analytics. The source of the errors which specified an “Invalid Column RowID#” in the mapping was specific to some domains created before the 24.2 version which had an incompatibility issue with a recently introduced enhancement that helps to preserve review statuses and other Data Central elements like comments or issues. The processing for these mapped tables that are not applicable for user review activities has been updated to ensure that these tables are not incidentally checked for review tracking context before being mapped into the relevant data store. Users should no longer experience this unexpected error for their query mappings from this source.Importer24.1.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-34163Users experienced unexpected errors when running imports that triggered mappings specifying that tables properly stored in elluminate were marked as an “invalid object”. The source of this issue was the processing of table schemas for fields being checked for change tracking objects like review statuses, comments etc. that were conflicting with the table views generated from the blinding configuration on the study. The blinding itself was a valid configuration utilizing wildcards that ensured no sensitive data was exposed, but caused this change tracking processing on the backend to try and utilize incorrect references displaying this error message during the mapping. That change tracking check has been corrected to ensure that there is no conflict and that the correct table information is referenced when parsing through domains for change tracking related objects.Importer24.1.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-33460Users experienced issues when searching for values while filtering columns on the Protocol Deviations Dashboard. More specifically, the list of values displayed on the filter popover modal were not updating automatically based on the search criterion entered into the search bar. This has been corrected to ensure that users are quickly displayed the results of their search to apply filters without having to click out of the search bar or hit the enter key.Protocol Deviations24.1.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-33461Users experienced issues when fixing columns on the Protocol Deviations Dashboard in Data Central. These issues were specific to scenarios where a user had fixed a column, then switched pages within the dashboard was un-fixing those columns from the left or right of the dashboard after every page switch. The handling for this has been corrected to properly store the user’s fixed columns while paginating as well as within their user session on the PD Dashboard. They can now expect that fixed columns will remain until they navigate away from the dashboard or data central.Protocol Deviations24.1.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-33530Users can now hover over the Outlier legend in the Score Distribution Chart to highlight corresponding data points. This resolves a previous inconsistency where only the Interquartile Range and Mean highlights were responsive, ensuring all legend elements now provide interactive visual feedback.RBQM24.1.009/06/2025Deployed
EL-33976Previously, QTL scores exceeding the configured Tolerance Limit were not plotted on the QTL Overview charts. This occurred due to improper calculation of the Y-axis range. The calculation logic has been corrected to ensure all QTL values are now included in the chart range, allowing for accurate visualization of high scores.RBQM24.2.009/06/2025Deployed

EL-31923Users experienced an issue where enabling CTOA in the study configuration settings and saving the configuration was not defaulting to the expected data store of ODM_Mapped# but instead was set to the Reporting data store. This was caused by the data store value coming back as undefined which matches the intentionally blank schema for the Reporting datastore. This has been corrected to default to ODM_Mapped# as expected. Users should no longer need to re-configure the study settings if configured to enable CTOA and a datastore is not selected with intention to use the default.Study Management24.2.008/23/2025Deployed
EL-31672Rules based Mappings added to enhance Specification Mapping AutomationSpecifications 24.2.008/23/2025Deployed
EL-33781Addressed an issue in Data Central Visualizations where applying a filter in the Filter section and then a Dimension Filter would override the first filter instead of applying both together. Both filters now apply correctly.Visualization (DC)24.1.008/23/2025Deployed
EL-33778Fixed an issue where Data Cuts did not consistently apply across the Subjects panel and related visualizations after source reports were refreshed. Previously, changes were not fully reflected in downstream mapping domains, resulting in partial or outdated chart filtering. With this fix, Data Cuts now correctly account for all relevant domains, ensuring accurate filtering and alignment across Subjects panel and visualization outputs.Data Central24.1.008/17/2025Deployed
EL-32930Resolved an issue where batch Issue notification emails incorrectly listed the user running the Issue Notification task (or the user who created the task initially if not run manually) as the creator of all Issues in the batch. The email now groups Issues by their actual creator and includes the "Opened By" field for each group, ensuring accurate attribution in notifications.Issues Module24.1.008/17/2025Deployed
EL-33847Users can now freely move and rearrange Data Central panels within RBQM as expected, enabling a more flexible and personalized workspace layout.RBQM24.1.008/17/2025Deployed
EL-33513Users experienced performance concerns across elluminate when a large number of automated tasks were executing simultaneously on their URL. This was caused by automated tasks loading extra data to confirm the latest status from the prior execution of the task. This pulled in the task history for all prior executions of the task causing an eventual degradation of performance after enough history was accrued. This processing has been enhanced to only acquire a minimal amount of data needed to determine the prior task run status and prevent this performance degradation. Users can expect to not be impeded when working in elluminate while tasks are executing.Tasks24.1.008/17/2025Deployed
EL-33724Users experienced unexpected errors when running Validator jobs in elluminate where differences in the types of fields used as keys in the messages displayed in validation results were conflicting and throwing errors causing the job to fail. This handling has been enhanced to ensure that any differences in types of keys when creating validation output messages are safely processed to prevent these unexpected errors. EL-33869Users had experienced and error running validation jobs on their study data when the imported file was changed from a CSV to an Excel file. This change itself did not cause an error, but the handling of blank values in Excel and CSV files were different, causing the validator to expect a NULL value to provide the proper output validation message but instead was fed in an empty string from the input excel file. This caused validator to return unexpected validation messages citing “Invalid Controlled Terminology” with no CT value listed. This handling has been adjusted to correct this discrepancy between NULL values and empty string from imported data. Users can continue to use validator with files including either of these empty values successfully.Validator23.3.008/17/2025Deployed

The Domain Review Configuration for Data Central has been enhanced to preserve existing review statuses on domains that have been disabled for review. Previously, any review statuses would be lost whenever a domain was disabled for review after users had marked any records for review. This presented scenarios where incidental changes to the list of domains configured for review would cause the loss of key items like Review Status, Comments, Annotations, and other record-driven features in Data Central.

This enhancement will prevent the loss of those items by retaining any existing context linked to the record, this will persist in the backend during subsequent imports of the domain that has been disabled but will not actively update the review status from those imports as though the domain were still enabled for review. This means that if or when the domain is re-enabled for review that the review statuses of the records will match when the domain was last reviewed.

User feedback indicated a need to handle special characters in imported PDAP files and to relax restrictions related to case-sensitive fields. In response, a new system setting has been added that allows users to provide eClinical Solutions (eCS) with a predefined list of restricted special characters. Once provided, an eCS representative will configure the backend setting for the URL, enabling validation that rejects any imported, added, or edited PDAP entries containing any of the specified special characters.

Additionally, the import process has been updated to relax the case-sensitivity requirements for picklist-driven fields. Fields such as Level, Identification Method, and columns related to the importance of the PD will now accept case-insensitive values without issue. Users should no longer encounter validation failures due to minor casing differences.

User feedback provided additional insight that some sponsor organizations, due to their internal processes, require unique PD Codes for each entry in the Global and Study PDAPs. This requirement conflicts with the current PDAP structure, where the PD Code field is optional. To better support both the existing structure and this additional business need, the import process for the Global and Study PDAPs has been enhanced. Users will now see a validation message when importing a PDAP file that contains duplicate PD Codes.

Please note,  This validation does not prevent the import of duplicate codes. Instead, it provides an early warning, allowing users to review and correct the file before ingesting its contents into a configured PDAP within elluminate.

User feedback indicated some difficulty with the default order of columns on the Protocol Deviations Dashboard in Data Central. The feedback indicated the most valuable columns for viewing and reviewing PDs were listed too far into the dashboard and required users to frequently scroll to view the critical information. To address this, the order of the PD Dashboard has been adjusted. Columns to help identify PDs like Site, Subject, and date information have been moved up in view to help assuage these concerns.

In addition to these changes, some adjustment to column headers on the PD Dashboard have been made to better align the intent of the columns in the UI. The “Importance Classification” column has been updated to “PDAP Importance” and the “Importance” column has been updated to “Source Importance”. This should help to highlight the difference between the two where the first is the Importance of the PD from the PDAP and the latter being the original Importance mapped in from the PD’s origin system.

User feedback had indicated that some of the titles and displayed statuses on the Protocol Deviation edit modal were unclear and contributing negatively to the overall user experience. More specifically the title and label for the button to select the applied PDAP from “Select PDAP Standard” to “Select Applied PDAP Entry” to be more clear that overall standards are not being selected, but individual entries from the study PDAP.

In addition to this change, another modification was made so that users editing Protocol Deviations in “Re-Review” status will now display that status value in the status selection dropdown in the PD edit modal. The display value was previously “Select…” which had confused users as it is neither the initial status value on the PD record nor one of the statuses that could be assigned to a Deviation. To address this, “Re-Review” will now populate as the starting value when editing PDs in that status selector drop-list. Users will not be able to save a PD in this status as it is only system-assigned. To save any updates to the PD a user will have to select a non re-review status to save.

Users had reported issues trying to export some data from elluminate where certain fields were being truncated during the export. The source of the issue was determined to be the format of those fields during the point of import. The offending domain was initially imported as a SAS dataset which applies the format and informat attributes. When this domain was later re-imported, it was imported as a text file instead of a SAS file. Text files do not carry metadata contents and as a result were skipped when considering the format and informat attributes for the fields in the domain.

This caused a scenario where the new text file had a larger field length for some columns compared to the original SAS file imported, however, the format attribute was not reset on this import causing those fields to respect the original formatting when exported in SAS format, unexpectedly truncating the fields in the export. This import processing has been updated to always respect the context from the latest imported file, regardless of it containing metadata or not. Users should no longer experience issues exporting data that has had input file format changes.

Users were experiencing issues trying to export domains to a configured sFTP, Box, or Amazon S3 file storage system specifically in cases where the exported file name is not unique within each export. The issue was observed when users were regularly exporting these identically named files expecting to replace the prior transport stored on the storage system, instead of the expected replacement of the prior transfer a new file with the same name and a ‘-1’ was repetitiously appended to the end of the filename. For example, expecting the output file to be “Example.xlsx” users were receiving “Example-1.xlsx” and “Example-1-1.xlsx” on subsequent exports.

The source of the issue was determined to be an error occurring during the export within an intermediate step where the exported file was orphaned on an internal shared drive that is used to process exports. This cause a conflict in later exports where that shared drive expects there to only be the file actively being exported. To prevent internal conflicts the ‘-1’ was being appended to the subsequently exported files resulting in users seeing those incorrect filenames on their storage systems. This handling has been fixed to properly clean up any files that would have been left on that shared drive causing the incorrect filenames. Users should be able to regularly export files with identical names and replace the prior transfer of the file as expected.

Users were experiencing issues trying to run manual file-based import definitions. Once a file was uploaded, the import would not properly stage the file prior to the user selecting to integrate. Instead, these imports were getting stuck in processing and not updating the UI with the contents of the file staged to import. The source of this issue was determined to be a change in the underlying data needed to run imports, more specifically, these older import definitions contained additional backend metadata that was no longer needed to run an import from other efficiency changes in elluminate. When these imports were attempting to run, they were unable to obtain those now unnecessary pieces from the backend, resulting in the import not completing it’s steps to stage the data for the user to integrate. This handling has now been enhanced to account for older configured file import definitions, these imports should run as expected regardless of when the definition was configured on the URL.

Users experienced unexpected errors when running multiple simultaneous validator jobs on their data. These errors were determined to be caused by deadlocks on necessary resources in elluminate backend database to output the validation results. A deadlock is a situation in an application or computing system where multiple processes are waiting to access the same system resource to complete their execution. The handling of these resources has been enhanced to prevent unexpected overlap between validation jobs, no further deadlocks should occur when running multiple validations in a similar timeframe.

EL-31542Users were reporting issues with imports or mappings failing due to an error message that specified that “Cannot create a row of size _____ which is greater than the allowable maximum row size of 8060“. The source of this issue was determined to be a part of the backend processing that generates the data change tracking output used to support review statuses and changes to those statuses in Data Central. This backend processing included a query that was struggling to process these wide domains with large column counts resulting in the row size error message received. That internal processing has been enhanced to address this issue and prevent the internal query from erroring out. Users should be able to properly import or map datasets even with large column counts.Importer24.1.005/18/2025Deployed
EL-32415Users experienced error messages specifying “String or Binary Data Would be Truncated“ while trying to import data into elluminate. The source of these errors was determined to be a backend table conflict caused by an unexpected configuration for the target data store’s settings in Data Central. A user had configured a column named “RecordId” as the Subject Identifier for this data store. This field is typically leveraged by elluminate for data change tracking and this unexpected configuration caused a conflict while completing the import. The backend handling of these subject identifier columns for data stores has been enhanced to ensure that all fields from imported domains can be used for configuration irrespective of any other system uses. Users should no longer experience specific issues utilizing the RecordId in the aforementioned configurations.Importer23.2.005/18/2025Deployed

EL-29562User feedback indicated a need to improve data review workflows for unlicensed users. Specifically, users requested the ability to assign elluminate studies to unlicensed individuals, such as vendors or non-client personnel. Previously, unlicensed users lacked study-specific access, potentially exposing them to sensitive data. To address this, the platform has been enhanced to allow the assignment of a limited subset of studies to unlicensed users within a URL. In many cases, these users require access to only one or two specific studies. A new configuration option, ‘Study Access,’ has been added to user management. EL-30983Users were experiencing errors trying to import data files that do not include metadata defined column lengths that additionally include columns with data of greatly varying lengths. The issue was determined to be instances where some rows of data in the input file would have a longer field length than subsequent rows in the file. This causes the file reader to interpret the smaller length rows as the maximum for the import, overflowing that maximum when the longer value is attempted to be loaded into elluminate. The handling for this process has been enhanced to ensure that any imported domains where column length is defined by the input data will always select the greatest length of all values for that column.Importer23.2.003/23/2025Deployed
EL-31104Users reported errors attempting to import a notably large SAS XPT type file that had greater than 2 million records. The reported error was the import hanging indefinitely on a later step in the import process where the data was being uploaded to the elluminate staging area where the import was configured to push the created domain. The source of the error was determined to be an issue with the paging that is used to optimally ingest large files. The logic to break the file into pages was incorrectly calculating the amount of data to put into each page and was getting stuck when trying to complete the import. Users should no longer experience these unexpectedly hanging imports.Importer24.1.003/23/2025Deployed

User feedback highlighted the risk of importing study PDAP documents into incorrect studies, potentially leading to data inconsistencies. This issue was particularly relevant when users inadvertently used study-specific PDAPs instead of the global PDAP. To prevent this, the following changes have been implemented:

The exported Study PDAP and Study PDAP templates now include the study title in the tab of the exported file.

Users were experiencing issues with imported datasets where certain columns with a name that is greater than the 50 character limit in elluminate. More specifically, these columns of illegal name length were incorrectly being assigned a maximum data length of 0 characters caused by the over-length column name. This resulted in the column being imported, but displaying as though it were blank when the input file contained data. The importer has been enhanced to better these scenarios with columns names of illegal length on import, and how the downstream data is handled in the elluminate backend and tools like Mapper, or SCE. Users should no longer experience issues with populated columns being imported as NULL or empty due to file metadata related problems like mentioned above.

EL-30551Users reported issues where cell highlighting in Data Central panels was functioning inconsistently between users when updating highlight configuration as well as during frequent reloads of the panel in DC. The cause of the issue was determined to be an issue in the timing of when the cell highlight configuration is saved into the domain configuration and then the panel view refreshed to apply the highlighting. The cell highlighting elements were inconsistently inaccessible at the correct time for the panel to properly apply and display the highlighting. This has been enhanced to ensure that there are not scenarios where any applied highlighting is being “skipped” or not visually applied due to panel loading procedures. After user feedback reported unnecessary duplicate columns, limited field display length for some columns, and missing options to display necessary Protocol Deviation source system information, changes to the PD Dashboard and mapping process were deemed necessary. To better support client use of the dashboard, the following changes have been made:

Removed the ‘Classification’ column, which was redundant with the ‘Importance’ column.
Extended the ‘Reported Description’ and ‘External Comments’ fields to a new length of 2000 characters.
Created a new ‘Deviation Source’ column, which displays whether the PD is imported or manually created.
Repurposed the previous ‘External Source’ column, which now allows users to map the name of an external source system, process, or personnel that generated the imported PD record.

Due to user concern regarding the amount of manual effort required to apply Protocol Deviation Assessment Plan (PDAP) entries to all programmatically generated PD records, the Protocol Deviations Dashboard refresh process has been enhanced. Specifically, four new columns were added to the SourcePDs mapping, which populates the Protocol Deviations Dashboard.

These fields and their intended uses are:

PDAPEditLock: A True / False flag field to control whether users can manually apply a PDAP entry to the PD record.
PDAPCategory: An identifier for the Standard Category PDAP value to be matched and assigned to the PD record.
PDAPDescription: An identifier for the Standard Description PDAP value to be matched and assigned to the PD record.
PDAPCode: An identifier for the PD Code PDAP value to be matched and assigned to the PD record.
Through the SourcePDs mapping, users can now populate each PDAP identifier field. If a corresponding entry exists in the Study PDAP, the contents of that PDAP entry will be automatically applied to the imported PD record. Furthermore, users can be restricted from selecting new or different PDAPs than those automatically assigned.

EL-28993Due to user difficulty in utilizing the Global and Study Protocol Deviation Assessment Plans (PDAPs), stemming from the need for repeating combinations of Standard Categories and Standard Descriptions, both PDAPs have been enhanced. This enables the repetition of Categories and Descriptions with a unique PD Code, thereby creating multiple versions of specific PDAP entries with varying content in other applicable fields.Protocol Deviations 24.1.002/23/2025Deployed

Users were experiencing difficulty leveraging the full value of Global and Study PDAPs within elluminate's Protocol Deviation functions because imported file validations would reject an incoming file if any of the PDAP records in the imported file matched those already configured in the PDAP.

To address this difficulty and limitation, import file validation has been updated for both Global and Study PDAPs in the elluminate platform. Specifics for each are below:

Global PDAP Imports:

Imports of PDAP files with matching PDAP entries (both in the ingested file and the configured Global PDAP) are now allowed.
Existing global PDAP entries cannot be edited via import and will be skipped.
New global PDAP entries will be created as new records from the input file.
Study PDAP Imports:

Imports of PDAP files with matching PDAP entries (both in the ingested file and the configured Study PDAP) are now allowed.
Global PDAP entries imported into the study PDAP cannot be edited at the study level and will be skipped.
Existing Study PDAP entries that are not actively applied to a PD within the study can be imported with changes.
Existing Study PDAP entries that are actively applied to a PD cannot be edited via import and will be skipped.
New Study PDAP entries will be created as new records from the input file.

Users were experiencing difficulty with the traceability and clear identification of Protocol Deviations with applied PDAPs when their Importance Classification values were overridden. Some sponsors consider this a quality event, given the situational need to override the existing PDAP standard. Therefore, improved accessibility for sponsors was required.

To address the concern, the Importance Override field has now been moved to a separate option on the Edit PD window. This allows users to view the original Importance Classification while applying an override. Furthermore, the required comment field for saving a Protocol Deviation (PD) with an Importance Override has been renamed ‘Reason for Importance Override,' and its corresponding comment type is now ‘Importance Override.' These changes provide sponsors with immediate access to the context explaining why the PD’s applied standard was overridden.

Users were experiencing difficulty with the required import configuration needed to regularly update the Protocol Deviations Dashboard in Data Central for any imported protocol deviations. This difficulty was caused by the requirement that any imports refreshing the PD Dashboard needed to be initiated within that study. This forced sponsors who import their PD source data from a consolidated, cross-study source to configure extra imports and mappings to keep the PD Dashboard up to date.

To resolve this, the backend processing that updates the PD Dashboards in Data Central has been enhanced. It now allows imports into a Global Data Store to find all required ‘SourcePDs’ mappings dependent on the imported domain. For all studies where that mapping runs successfully, the PD Dashboard will be refreshed from the single global import.

EL-29039User feedback regarding the Protocol Deviations Dashboard and workflow in Data Central indicated that the currently unrestricted workflow, allowing users to save PDs in a ‘Reviewed’ status without applying a selected PDAP entry, was resulting in ‘unclean’ or improperly organized PD Data at the end of the PD management process. To ensure better organization of the finalized PD dataset, the UI and workflow have been enhanced requiring users to apply a selected PDAP entry whenever a PD is saved in a ‘Reviewed’ status.Protocol Deviations 24.1.002/23/2025Deployed

Users were reporting difficulty with the Protocol Deviation (PD) Review workflow due to unexpected re-reviews. These re-reviews were caused by the system’s data change tracking being broader than sponsors intended. Specifically, the system tracked changes in a wider range of fields within imported PDs than sponsors deemed necessary for triggering a re-review.

To address this misalignment and eliminate unnecessary re-reviews, a new URL backend configuration option was implemented. This option allows sponsors to specify the fields within the imported PD columns that should be tracked for changes, thereby aligning the system with their specific processes. Sponsors can now select one or more of the imported PD’s Category, Description, Importance, Identified Date, Start Date, or End Date to be tracked. When changes are detected in these specific fields during import, the review status is updated.
