Exporter Error

• The user tries to export a domain in SAS XPORT format (XPT), and the export fails or does not return an .xpt file for one or more of the domains.
  The specification for SAS XPORT files is very rigid and has many requirements that most people do not know. Here are a handful of the rules that must be adhered to; otherwise, an error will occur and the .xpt file will not be generated:
  • Domain names must be 8 characters or less.
  • Variable names within a domain must be 8 characters or less.
  • Labels must be 40 characters or less.
  • The length of each variable must be less than 200 characters.
