Sneak Preview

The 26.2.0 release will bring exciting new enhancements to elluminate, and we're giving you an early look at what's to come. This sneak preview highlights the major features in active development, aimed at improving both the intuitiveness and power of your experience. This is not a full list of all the capabilities to come. Stay tuned for more details as we finalize these updates!

Data Central

Update! Redesigned Filter Panel

The Data Central filtering experience will be enhanced with a redesigned Filter Panel that provides a centralized, consistent view of all applied filters across the workspace. This update will introduce improved organization, clearer filter visibility, and more intuitive interactions, making it easier to understand, manage, and adjust filters in one place.

New! Column Statistics

A new popout for column statistics will be added to Data Central listings, enabling users to instantly understand data distribution, identify outliers, and assess data quality. This update will accelerate exploratory analysis, support faster decision-making, and reduce the need for manual data investigation.

Update! Review Plan Status Tracking

Review Plan status tracking will be enhanced to provide more detailed visibility into review progress across objectives and materials. This update will introduce percentage-based completion with associated counts, helping users better understand progress, prioritize work, and track completion more effectively within each review cycle.

Issues

Update! Context-Aware Filtering Experience

Filtering in Global Issues will be enhanced to provide a more intuitive, context-aware experience that helps users quickly identify relevant values based on current selections. These improvements will make multi-step filtering more efficient, reduce trial-and-error, and enable users to refine results with greater confidence and clarity.

Mapper

Update! Dynamic Union Across Columns and Rows

Mapper will enable users to create a dynamic union to combine like-named columns across datasets with defined metadata in the datastore. This capability will combine similar or identical columns across multiple domains without requiring data pivoting, enabling reuse across multiple studies.

Platform

New! Open Study Builder (OSB) Integration

A new connector will integrate elluminate with the Open Study Builder (OSB) platform, an open-source project for clinical study specifications. The connector will enable ingestion of study metadata, design, and configuration data. elluminate will use this data as supporting context for study creation and artifact generation, including Review Objectives and Study Risk Indicators.

New! Clinical Ink Connector

Users will be able to configure a new data source to establish connections to Clinical Ink’s Snowflake database to ingest data from the Clinical Ink platform into elluminate and leverage it for clinical trial workflows.

New! Exporter Access for System Tables

Exporter will include a set of internal tables typically displayed in Data Central that are available for export. These include study table views for Record Review Summaries, Review Cycles, Review Objectives, Issues, Queries, Subjects, and more.

Update! Rave ODM Adapter Supporting Medidata Rave’s ODM V2 Upgrade

Users will be able to ingest data exposed in Medidata Rave’s updated ODM V2 API. The Audit and Query datasets used in elluminate will include a new column, InstanceName. This column will provide detailed visit-level information, especially in cases where complex or repeating visit structures are used.

Update! Traceability for Data Exported from elluminate

User feedback has indicated challenges when tracing exports in the system across different time zones to determine when data was exported. The name of exported files will be added to all places where prior exports are visible, and the applicable UTC offset will be added to the filename to provide better transparency into when data was exported.

Risk Management

New! Study Risks Analytics
A new analytics experience will be available within RACT to provide Risk Managers with a consolidated, study-lifecycle view of risk management performance. The release will introduce analytics views that summarize the highest-risk CTQs, overall risk score trends, volumes of risks and mitigations, and changes in the risk profile. It will also provide visibility into risk realization, including realized versus non-realized risks, threshold breaches, and Signal-to-Issue conversion patterns, with site- and country-level breakouts. In addition, the analytics experience will begin to show how risks connect to downstream functions, including IDRP Review Objectives and progress, supporting stronger oversight and continuous learning.

New! Move Risks Across Considerations
Users will be able to move risks across considerations during risk assessments. This enhancement will provide greater flexibility when refining assessments and help teams align risks with the most appropriate consideration as study understanding evolves.

New! Supporting Graphs for Root Cause Analysis

A Supporting Graphs panel will be added to enable built-in KRI root cause analysis. The panel will include visualizations that address KRI score changes over time, comparisons to other sites, and drivers of score differences.

SCE

New! Posit Shiny Integration

This integration with the Posit suite will enable customers to develop, publish, and interact with Shiny applications directly within elluminate. This integration enables programmers to build interactive data visualizations in R within the Statistical Computing Environment (SCE) and share them with end users to more easily deliver dynamic insights and enhance collaboration around study data.

Specifications

New! Mapping Automation: Spec-Driven SAS Code Generation

This capability will generate SAS code directly from mapping specifications within elluminate. This will enable automated SDTM mapping implementation while preserving compatibility with established SAS-based programming workflows.

Study Advisor

New! The elluminate Study Advisor will be introduced to streamline study setup and data review planning using protocol-driven insights. This new module will enable users to upload study protocols, automatically extract key study details, and receive AI-assisted suggestions for Review Objectives, helping accelerate study configuration, improve consistency, and reduce manual effort across the study lifecycle.
