Access Metadata from Metadata Management in the Platform Menu.

The Search tab in Metadata supports searching across selected studies and global data stores based on specified criteria. By default, the Studies drop-down includes all studies and global data stores with access permissions.

Note: When Metadata is accessed from a study-specific area of elluminate, the current study is automatically selected and its most recent metadata version is loaded. When Metadata is accessed without a study context, the study selector defaults to the first available study.

Search Metadata

1. In Metadata, click the Search tab.

2. Select the Studies field to open the list of available studies and global data stores.

   • Enter text in the Search field to filter the list.
   • Select Select All to include all studies and global data stores.
   • Select the checkbox for each individual study or global data store. Use the scrollbar to view all available options.
     

3. Select the search criteria:

   CRITERIA	DESCRIPTION
   Search For	Select Domains (default) or Variables.
   Within	Select Names (default) or Labels. For example, AE is a name and Adverse Events is a label.
   Condition	Select Starts With (default), Contains, Ends With, or Equals.
   Text	Enter the text to search for.

4. Select the Magnifying Glass icon or press Enter in the search field to run the search. The following example searches study AIML_DEMO using Domains > Names > Starts With > AE.
   

Export Search Results

Click Export in the master header to export the search results to Excel. The exported file contains the same results displayed in elluminate.

Note: Search criteria are not included in the exported file.
