Announcement: Change to Release Cadence
eClinical Solutions has changed our release cadence from targeting 3 major releases per year to 2 major releases per year. This change is better aligned with the adoption timing of the vast majority of our clients, and allows for the delivery of a more impactful set of features in each release. Existing notification and upgrade scheduling procedures will remain in place.
The new cadence will target a mid year release (XX.1) and an end-of-year release (XX.2). Typically the XX.1 release would be finalized in June and made available for customer upgrade in July. The XX.2 release would be finalized in December and available for customer upgrade in January. Following this cadence, elluminate 24.1 was released in July, and 24.2 is targeted for January, 2025.

After careful consideration we have decided to push out the timeline for the elluminate v24.2 release by 1 week to ensure we deliver the highest possible quality. The updated schedule is as follows:
We understand this may be a concern for those who are eagerly anticipating the release. However, this additional time will allow us to perform further testing and ensure the release meets our highest standards.
We are excited for the new features and enhancements in v24.2 and are confident they will bring significant value to our clients!

Announcement: Retirement of Legacy RBM module 🕰️
The elluminate Risk-Based Management (RBM) module has remained in the platform as a legacy component since its initial replacement by the Risk-Based Quality Management (RBQM) module. While RBM has had no active users in recent releases, we have continued to maintain coverage for it. As part of our ongoing efforts to remodel our Risk Management offerings, we have made the strategic decision to formally retire elluminate RBM. For elluminate users, the move to a modern holistic RBQM solution means a more streamlined and consistent user experience, eliminating outdated functionalities and aligning with modern industry standards, and integrating RBQM, RACT, and future Risk Management modules, ensuring a more cohesive and scalable ecosystem for risk-based decision-making.
Stay tuned for more updates as we expand elluminate capabilities for Quality and Risk Management!

Announcement: Sunsetting the “What’s Coming” Video Series 🎬
As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping you informed and prepared for upcoming changes in elluminate, we’re evolving how we share product updates ahead of each release.
Starting with the 25.1 release cycle, we will retire the “What’s Coming” video series. This short-form content previously provided a preview of key enhancements approximately four weeks before each release. While it’s been a valuable way to highlight new functionality, our improved release communications now offer even more timely and detailed insights.
We’re excited to now provide Advance Release Notes earlier than ever—giving you greater visibility into upcoming features and enhancements well ahead of the release date. These detailed previews help teams better plan, prepare, and get the most out of each new release.
In place of the “What’s Coming” videos, we’ll be supplementing the advance release notes with screenshots or wireframes to bring upcoming updates to life. The Release Guide Video Series will continue to accompany each release, offering more detailed walk-throughs.
We look forward to sharing what’s next with even more clarity, consistency, and lead time. Thank you for your continued engagement and feedback—it helps us keep improving the elluminate platform!

Submitting and Reviewing Product Enhancement Requests
At eClinical Solutions, we welcome product enhancement requests from our clients and value this input as a critical part of our product development process. These requests help us shape the future of the elluminate platform to better meet the evolving needs of clinical data teams.
Clients can submit enhancement requests either through the web form available in the elluminate Help Center (https://forms.office.com/r/fPDSLnBtU0?origin=lprLink ) or by emailing our product team directly (productboard@eclinicalsol.com). Either method will automatically create a request in our system, which will be marked as “Unprocessed.” Once a request is received, it is routed to the appropriate product team based on the module or capability referenced.
Each product team regularly reviews newly submitted requests to determine how they fit into the overall product landscape. During this evaluation, the team considers whether the request represents a true enhancement, a feature already supported by the platform, or potentially a system issue that requires remediation. In some cases, the request may be reclassified as a defect and entered into our bug tracking system. If a request is determined to reference existing functionality, it is marked accordingly. When further clarification is needed, a member of our Customer Success or Account Management team will follow up directly to better understand the request and ensure it’s accurately represented.
Enhancement requests that are aligned with our product direction and associated with potential future features are linked to those features and marked as “Processed.” From there, they are reviewed as part of our standard feature prioritization process. We assess each enhancement for its potential impact and customer value, considering factors such as how critical the enhancement is to the requesting client and how many clients would benefit from it. Our goal is to invest R&D efforts where they will deliver the greatest value across our user community.
Clients can monitor the status of their requests through the elluminate Product Portal (https://product.eclinicalsol.com/ ). This portal provides visibility into the status of individual insights and a summary view of requests across the platform. (Speak with your account manager if you need help accessing the portal.) By providing transparency into how we manage enhancement requests, we aim to foster a collaborative partnership with our clients as we continue to evolve elluminate.

Announcement: Upcoming Changes to elluminate Analytics Applications Due to Qlik Platform Update
As part of our ongoing platform improvements, we are upgrading to a newer version of the Qlik framework used across elluminate analytics applications, including CDA, CTOA, SMA, and others. This upgrade brings a refreshed look and feel to the app interface, while maintaining all existing functionality.
What’s Changing
These updates are limited to the application framework—such as the title bar, selection bar, sheet navigation, and asset panels. The analytics sheets themselves, including your charts and graphs, remain unchanged.
Here’s a summary of key updates to expect:
The Prepare / Analyze / Narrate buttons have been replaced with a single dropdown menu in the title bar. The Overview option, previously accessed via the Sheets dropdown (next to the Duplicate icon), is now located in this same dropdown.
The Insight Advisor and user selection buttons have shifted slightly to the right. Bookmarks and Sheets are now located to the left and have been converted into buttons for easier access.
The new Sheets button provides a searchable, scrollable list of sheets. The classic Overview is still available in the main dropdown menu.
A new Assets button allows you to show or hide a panel containing Sheets, Bookmarks, Master Items, Charts, and Custom Objects—depending on whether you’re in view or edit mode.
What’s Not Changing
All existing capabilities remain available. These updates are purely visual and structural—driven by enhancements in the underlying Qlik platform. They are not related to changes made within elluminate, and we are not able to disable or configure these updates.
You can view the full Qlik release notes here.
We appreciate your understanding as we roll out this update. While the layout may feel different at first, we are confident you will adjust quickly and find the new experience streamlined and intuitive.
If you have any questions, please reach out to your elluminate representative.

Announcement: Update to 2026 Release Schedule
Over a year ago, we shared that elluminate would move to a twice-yearly release cadence, targeting mid-year and end-of-year major releases. This change was designed to align more closely with our clients’ adoption timelines and to enable the delivery of more impactful, validated feature sets. As we look ahead in 2026, we’re making a targeted addition to this cadence this year to meet emerging client needs.
To accelerate delivery of key Quality Risk Management enhancements, we will be introducing an additional release - 26.1 - in April 2026. This will ensure that clients awaiting the latest Risk Management capabilities can begin planning and adopting those features earlier in the year.
We will continue to follow the standard cadence for the remainder of the year, with two major releases:
We remain committed to our clients' success and to partnering closely to plan for upgrades and validation activities. By maintaining a consistent mid-year and end-of-year schedule, while adding the early 26.1 release, we aim to provide both predictability and flexibility for client planning and adoption.
